Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese spiritual healing art that is practiced in a variety of settings. It is a subtle and effective form of energy healing using spiritually guided life force energy (Reiki). Our physical body is alive because of the “Life Force Energy” that is flowing within. Reiki increases one’s Life Force Energy helping to bring the body back into balance and promoting overall well-being.
During a Reiki session, the client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining on a massage table with blankets and pillows. Before the session, a chart is used to demonstrate different areas of the body that can be treated with a gentle pressure static touch or the hands may be a few inches above your body with no actual touch, the choice is yours. There is no sexual touch during a Reiki treatment. It is important that you feel both safe and comfortable, therefore you have the right to refuse or terminate the session at any time. A Reiki session promotes deep relaxation and complements any of your existing medical treatments.
