A gentle 1-hour group for caregivers focused on nervous system regulation and rest. Through music, intuitive movement, meditation, and Reiki
Who it’s for: Caregivers seeking grounding, regulation, and space to receive
Facilitator: Heather Beecroft CRA-RP
As a trauma and violence informed Reiki Practitioner, member of the Canadian Reiki Association and mother, I bring empathy, real life experience and a passion for holistic wellbeing to my practice. I have close to 30 years of experience working as a social worker specializing in caregiver support, mental health, and stroke rehabilitation. Reiki helped me with my own healing, which inspired me to become a Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master/Teacher. I love supporting caregivers.
WHAT
You are invited to join me in a trusted, safe and sacred space created for the purpose of energetically releasing whatever is no longer serving you. I will introduce myself, the healing benefits of Reiki, as well as the holistic services available at New Track Selfcare.
The group will open with a brief grounding meditation. Participants will be encouraged to lie comfortably on the floor with low lighting (yoga mats, pillows and blankets will be provided) and soft music. A soothing 30-minute journey will be created with an intentional playlist of healing and inspirational songs. During this time, with your consent, hands on or hands off Reiki (light touch) will be offered to you briefly to enhance your energetic release. The group will close by reflecting on the 5 Reiki Principles. You are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Maximum of 10 participants.
WHY
Caregiving is rewarding but exhausting. It’s hard to pour from an empty cup. This session is your chance to recharge and prioritize your own wellbeing. While the mechanisms are not fully understood, consistent Reiki is gaining scientific recognition for creating lasting changes such as reducing stress, improving mood, enhancing sleep, minimizing pain and supporting spiritual growth to name only a few. Co-regulation occurs in Reiki sessions. When we are calm, we can help others become calm as well. Self-care is not a luxury – it’s a necessity!
